Culver Academy Rentals
Culver, Indiana, located on beautiful Lake Maxinkuckee, is home to the world famous Culver Academies. The Culver Academies are situated on the north shore of the lake and are home to students from all over the world studying in grades nine through twelve. There are numerous events scheduled throughout the year for both the Culver Girl’s Academy, the Culver Military Academy and also the Culver Summer School Program. Some of these events include Parents Weekend, both in the Fall and in the Spring, Alumni Weekends for both the Winter School and Summer School Programs, with the Graduation activities at the culminations of the school year. Along with these special weekends, there are numerous sporting events for the students, some of which include football, lacrosse, basketball, hockey and polo, and not forgeting the weekly dress parades. These events bring in many parents and families wanting to share these times with their children.
As Culver is a very small community, lodging can sometimes be hard to find without the families driving for long distances. Many families in the Culver area and lake residents have offered to rent their homes out for these special occasions. Aloha Realty, Inc. has a large variety of rental homes available for yearly, seasonal and short term rentals. Families can choose from homes on the lake, in the town of Culver, or in the country. The homes range in price from $90 per night to a high of $950 per night. Of course the price reflects the size of the home and the location! Homes range from sleeping for 4 up to 14 people. Cheryl, My wife Linda and I were hoping to rent a small house in town or close to the lake in July and be able to keep our dog there and have comfortable sleeping for 4 adults. Do you know of any rental available for July. Our price range would be 1000 to 2200 for the month. Kevin

Good luck Kevin. I tried through Sherrill to find a two-month rental in order to work the summer program at Culver Academies. What we found was, in my belief, a very overpriced market. Culver has not experienced a RE “bubble” nor is it eay to find rentals that accept pets.
