Restaurants In Culver

When I was a kid it seemed Culver was a village of gas stations! I can recall at least 8 just off the top of my head! Not only did they pump your gas (no self-serve) and wash your windshield and check your oil, but they were also full service garages. Most had candy, etc. that you could buy. Hatten’s Garage was across the street from the school (there is a car wash there now) and was a popular place for the kids to run across the street to buy wax lips and other candies at the noon hour. Now we have 2 gas stations, and lots of great restaurants!

People travel to Culver just to eat! We have about every variety of food offered that one can think of! Each restaurant has its own ambience and flavor. Papa’s Restaurant is noted for their outstanding pizzas and steaks, City Tavern has sushi and a Chicago flair, Cafe Max is great for breakfast, Corndance Cafe features buffalo burgers and great dinners, China Buffet has traditional Chinese cuisine. The Marmont Grill has a huge variety to satisfy the pallet, Edgewater Grille is a great gathering place close to the park.
Sit in your car and enjoy a burger and root beer at the Original Root Beer Stand or have fresh brewed coffee at Culver Coffee Company. The TenSpot has a great layout and available for large crowds for parties. This is just a few of the eateries available and it seems more are opening all the time. Make Culver your destination for dining out.
